Community Center, Music Enrichment for Youth, Musician Support, Recording Studio & Legacy Museum
Music’s past is meeting music’s future as New Orleans’s own PJ Morton, Keyboardist for Maroon 5 and Grammy-award winning solo artist, is working to save Bolden’s house. Bolden has been gone now for almost 100 years, and the home where he spent much of his life is now threatened. The double shotgun house at 2309 First St. has been vacant for several years and is at risk.
Once restored the house will become a community center, museum, and recording studio, offering music-business education for young performers and celebrating the jazz originator's legacy.
Help save New Orleans’ exceptional jazz history while simultaneously propelling it into the future: Contribute toward the renovation of the Buddy Bolden House today.
